World Heritage Sites Tour in Nepal - 18 Days Detailed Itinerary

1Day

Arrive in Kathmandu . Accommodation arranged, including transportation.

2Day

Visit World Heritage Sights in and around central Kathmandu.

3Day

Visit World Heritage Sights around Kathmandu Valley.

4Day

Morning Flight to Chitwan National Park (6hr overland by bus on standard rate). Afternoon spent watching the park's prolific birdlife (500+ recorded species!).

5Day

Jungle safari within the park. After lunch, tread through the grassland and view the wildlife from your own Elephant ride.

6Day

See the Elephant farms before heading overland to Lumbini - the sacred birthplace of Buddha (4hr).

7Day

Spend a day visiting the monasteries, sights and sacred garden of Lumbini.

8Day

Fly out back to Kathmandu (30min flight). Spend remainder of the day resting.

9Day

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (Everest region). Begin your trek into the breathtaking scenery of the Sargamatha National Park . Trek to Phakding (2630m).

10Day

Phagding to Namche Bazaar (3450m). Set like a natural amphitheatre, the capital of Khumbu towers above the two great valleys of Dudh Kosi and Bhote Kosi.

11Day

From Namche Bazaar up the Khumjung Valley (3800m). Trek past the world's highest airport (Sangboche) and be taken aback by your first views of Everest.

12Day

Leave Khumjung and trek up to Tengboche (3840m). Spectacular views all the way up to your highest point - Tengboche, famous for its legendary Monastery.

13Day

Back from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar.

14Day

Namche Bazaar to Phakding.

15Day

Return from Phakding to Lukla.

16Day

Fly back Kathmandu and take rest.

17Day

Spend a day shopping for local crafts and treasure in the streets of Kathmandu.

18Day

Return home.
