Hiunchuli peak is located is an elevation of (6441) m in the Annapurna area over the Annapurna Base Camp. Mt. Hiunchuli is claimed as the fourth highest peak among the ' Trekking Peaks' in Nepal. It is one of the least difficult peaks for climbers in the Annapurna range but is vulnerable to rock falls. Hiunchuli has received little attention from mountaineers and is rarely climbed due to the lack of advertisement. Hiunchuli  could be the best suited for the new climbers as it is technically easy to ascend. The peak was first climbed by the American expedition company over the southeast face in October 1971. It forms a massive south-facing wall together with Annapurna South. Its eastern face overlooks the Modi Khola and guards the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The region is primarily dominated by the Gurung community.
